December 2016 Update + End Of Year Review

december-2016-update-report-year-in-review-post-image

In 2016, I quit my job of 9+ years, became debt free, networked with some incredible people, started my first GoFundMe campaign, started my own website, co-founded a new business project, went to more music festivals and gaming events than I can remember, qualified for my first Credit Card in over 8 years while earning 110,705 bonus point miles my very first month and discovered how to wake up every day with a sense of purpose.

I never thought that my life would change so drastically in such a short period of time. It’s crazy to think that this all happened because I took that first step to pursuing my own dreams just a short while prior. It’s definitely been my best and most life changing year to date and the beginning on an exciting journey ahead.

Here is how I did this December and what my plans are for 2017 and beyond.

For the sake of completion on a year in review, I decided to also include the totals of each of my income streams for all of 2016 as well.

How a Japanese Concept Helped Me Find My Purpose in Life

how-japanese-concept-helped-find-purpose-in-life-blog-post-header-image.png

It’s kind of strange, but I love reading charts, graphs, and analytics, so immediately I was interested in what my long time friend and mentor Ryan from CrossCounter.TV had to share with me. What I didn’t expect was for it to impact the course of my life forever.

How I Made $2000 Cash-Back Shopping Online

how-i-made-2000-dollars-cash-back-shopping-online-blog-post-header-image.png

For myself and most consumers in general, I feel that we are all bargain hunters by nature. Haggling or negotiating a discounted price with a business owner is an everyday common occurrence if we feel that we can get a better deal somehow.

At the time of this writing, I have made $1915.91 in cash-back, not taking into account additional pending purchases. Once those transactions are completed, I will have been paid out a little over $2000.

As more of a public service announcement than anything, I wanted to educate you on their existence so you can start saving immediately – especially for the holiday season. It’s a lot easier than you think!

Let me show you how.

Interview With Farbod Esnaashari – My Network

farbod-esnaashari-interview-blog-title-post-image

People are out there every day working boring, mundane, unfulfilled, dead-end jobs (I was one one of them) for years, just to make ends meet, never really getting the full experience of what life should truly be about – a fulfillment of happiness! Enter Farbod, a friend who has been instrumental in motivating me to control and take life by the reigns again.

I’ve known Farbod for over four years and the one thing that has stayed consistent throughout our friendship was that he was always doing something batshit crazy in public or mingling with people that are on TV at some exclusive Hollywood party, and always having the time of his life while doing so.

About a year or so ago, he started writing inspirational posts on Facebook to help motivate his friends and remind them to not take life for granted by exploring the world and taking more risks. I really started paying attention to his words more, sometimes engaging in heartfelt discussions, and we became closer friends over time because of it.

Now I have the opportunity to get to know him a little better by asking him a few questions about his history, his secrets to not getting caught by security, his hilarious personas, and how he was able to work for some of the biggest entertainment companies in the world.

5 Useful Tips For Hiring And Managing A Successful Virtual Assistant

5-useful-tips-hiring-managing-successful-virtual-assistant

At the beginning of every entrepreneurial venture, there is typically one amazing ringleader running the entire show – you!

But the larger you scale, the larger the number of varying responsibilities that will require your attention. Being limited to only two hands at any given time, a virtual assistant might just be what you need to help take some of the more tedious tasks off your back.

Interview With James “King James the Barber” Lazaro – My Network

james-lazaro-interview-blog-title-post-image.png

One of the biggest complaints that I hear most often from my peers is that they don’t “have enough time” to pursue their side hustles or go after their dreams. For 22 year old James Lazaro, in between working a 20 – 40 hour a week job as a waiter and going to school for his Barber’s License, he still managed to make time to grow his business that he started since the young age of 13. It simply begins by taking the first step and actually doing it. Once you start, you will find that you will make the time to work on it, especially if happiness is what motivates you.

WoW – World Of Workload: Return To Hustle Land

world-of-workload-return-to-hustle-land.png

From not having much to do to having a shit ton of work in the blink of an eye, it’s been a surprisingly welcome change of pace so far this October.

For the past 2 months prior, I spent most of my time reoptimizing my eBay listings and providing better and faster customer service. Some days I felt like I could only do so much of it before getting burnt out.
